Largest March Against Illegal Drugs

On March 21, 2009, the Philippines was listed in Guinness World Records for having the largest march against illegal drugs, the participants came from public school students accompanied by their parents. They called it "Grand BIDA March", BIDA stands for "Batang Iwas Droga", a massive information campaign launched in 2003 by PAGCOR Chairman Efraim C. Genuino to educate children between 6 and 12 years old on the dangers of substance abuse.

The activity was organized by the BIDA Foundation through the support of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) with assistance of Department of Education (DepEd), DDB-PDEA, (NGO's), several government agencies, and various local governement units led by Mayor Alfredo Lim.
