Manila Hotel, The Oldest Premiere Hotel in the Philippines

The Manila Hotel classified as 5 star hotel is located along Roxas Boulevard within land area of 3.5 hectares and consider as the oldest premiere hotel in th country. It offers place for conventions and meetings, recreational activities like pool, spa, health club, and golf course in Fort Bonifacio. It offers also services like room services, concierge, currency exchange, laundry, bussiness center, ATM machine, meeting rooms, ballrooms, salon, souvenir shops, medical clinic and transportation services.

The Manila Hotel was first conceptualized by Daniel Hudson Burnham in 1898, an Architect and City Planner who makes the design of Burnham Park in Bagiuo City. William Parsons, also an Architect, continued the work of Burnham by year 1908 supervising the design and construction and finished it by 4 years. It was inaugurated officially in commemoration of American Independence day in July 4, 1912. From year 1935-1941, the hotel served as home of Gen. Douglas McArthur.

Prominent visitors like The Beatles, Sen. Robert Kennedy, the Rockefeller brothers, Vice President Richard Nixon, President Dwight Eisenhower, Muhammad Ali, Ernest Hemingway and Bob Hope stayed in this hotel. This served also as venue for national and international activities and conventions like Asian Summit Meeting on 1966, FAMAS Awards and Philippine Constitutional Convention in 1970. Manila Hotel also served as gathering place for weddings, debuts, christening, anniversaries and many more. The hotel symbolized the Philippine best hospitality and services it can offer to Filipinos, visitors and tourists.
